This past Sunday, after church, we decided to have our girls spend the afternoon with their friends. We first took them out to lunch, and then we had them carve a pumpkin. Their friends had never done it before, so my daughters were VERY excited to do it with them. After the pumpkins were done, my husband cleaned the seeds and we did a batch of roasted pumpkin seeds! After that, we took them they dressed up and we took them to a Fall festival event at a local church where the girls had more fun. They even got some hot chocolate there. And then we went back home for a session of Rock Band, before taking their friends back home for the night. It was SO much fun for the girls and I’m glad we were able to do that and give them their friend time. This is specially important for home schoolers, and with the girls traveling as much as we do, it’s become very important for us to do this when we’re in town and can, because all the traveling can keep them away from some of the other activities they were active with before.
